Just an interesting observation. I have two similar sized 2.5" clarkii's in my 150g. Although one is slightly larger and definitely more dominant, they show little interest in one another. I have two anemone's (1 RBTA and 1 Sabae) in the tank. Each night, each clown hosts in its respective anemone. The smaller clown hangs in the RBTA and the larger in the Sabae. Then in the morning the large clown rotates back and forth between anemone's. The smaller one, only hosts in the RBTA and both tolerate each other when in that anemone. However the larger one chases the other away when it approaches the sabae. The larger also has excavated a decent sized nest at the base of the sabae.
At this point, I don't have a clue whats going on. At only 2.5" I suspect neither has reached maturity. However, I am wondering if they will dimorph and pair up or if I will end up with 2 females.
