2 clowns and nem

hello everyone i have a couple question trying to keep my clowns and nem as happy and safe as possible. as stated i have 2 clowns and a gbta in a 30 gallon i am picking up a new tank on sat a 58 rr it wont be ready for them for a while as i have to get everything together. but i plan on starting w/ new sand and a cup or 2 from my current set up and getting some LR from a local reefer and allowing the tank to cycle befor i bring in all my rock and fish and corals.

this is where it get tricky the 30g is about 10 miles away from where the 58g is gonna be should i load everything up into buckets put all the rocks and corals and the nem in and keep the fish in a bucket w/ a filter power head and heater for a few days or what ?

Why don't you just wait until the 58 is completely cycled as well as up and running for awhile. Then go to your LFS get some bags, bag all your live stock up and throw the rock in a bucket or rubbermaid, and then go acclimate it to the new system? I may not be understanding the urgency here, but it is going to take much longer than a couple days for your new tank to cycle so why would you put everything in a bucket?

I only use bens and buckets to transport with either airation or a power head but your looking for truble imo if you think you either going to hold this stuff

i plan on waiting for the 58 to cycle and settle befor i bring anything into it my concern was moving all that rock causing a mini cycle, would it be better for the fish to no be in there when this happens?

The rock you are adding from your smaller tank is already live cured rock and shouldn't cause an ammonia or nitrite spike. I don't see why you would need to add the fish later.
