2 Clowns Struggling to stay near bottom.

I currently have 2 ocellaris clowns in my tank.
I did two things today in my 210 gallon tank. #1, took a Tunze power head out and soaked in vinegar to remove buildup.
I did rinse them before putting back in tank.
#2. Thought I was plugging in the above powerhead, but turned on a fluval canister filter that has been off for a few months.
I did leave it on, thinking no big deal.

Now my two clowns are struggling to stay boyant.
The Blue Damsel, cleaner Shrimp, hermit crabbs and corals all seem unaffected.
Any suggestions?

For how long? Prepare for problems. How old is tank? Parameters? "Staying on the bottom?" Does that mean they can't swim? What is your current waste removal system?.
Hopefully it'll work out for you

they have been fine since last January when I started the tank.
BUT cleaning the pump and turning that canister filter where the only things I did to the system today.
Everything is fine levels wise.
I am thinking they ate some waste from the fluval canister that had been sitting in there and are doomed.
They are now in their cavern area they hang each night, but instead of really calm, they are rear fin up wiggling a little to stay towards the bottom.
The Blue Damsel if still fine.

Waste removal is a 40 gallon sump with dual socks, a reef octopus skimmer, UV sterilizer in line with the fuval canister.
.

just guessing that fluval kicked something nasty into your tank, ammonia or nitrites or both high, did you test yet?

I can only imagine how nasty that stuff was you pumped into that tank. I would be prepping some heavy water changes if you have not already.

Thank Goodness for a HUGE tank. I did a partial water change and this morning they were much much better. Parameters are just above normal.
Maybe one more water change today.
Thanks and fingers still crossed. The one seems all good, the other a slight float at times.

Dude that's like flushing a toilet into your tank!!

Imagine what that filter must've smelled like.....
