2 Different Chromis In A 40G

Just curious, could you have a green chromis and a blue reef chromis in a 40G in a peaceful manner or would one kill the other since they're quite similar other than color?

Thanks,

LOL - With Chromis, it isn't really about species but more that Chromis in general are evil. More is better to help spread out the aggression, but they still might go all psycho. Some people have great luck with them. I ain't one of em.

But they're peaceful with just one in the tank correct (i.e. to other types of fish)? Also, I've heard they do well in odd numbers (3, 5, etc), but I'm really wondering if anyone has experience with one green and one blue reef in the same tank.

Yes, that makes sense as I hear odd numbers are the secret, but I'm asking about two different types of chromis in the same tank...Specifically a blue reef, and a green chromis...anyone had experience with this? Whether it be one blue and one green, 3 blues and one green, or 3 greens and 1 blue, etc. Just want to know how the two different types get along.

Thanks,

now my toadstool?

now my toadstool?

alright, got this guy last week. all is good until this morning. didnt think much of it but the guy is still not opened up. the lower part did shed off but did not see this on the polyp side. What concerns me are the white stuff where polyps are. Should I be concerned. Other toadstool is perfect.
This was a few days ago.

There really is no secret .The best way to keep a group of chromis is by Keeping them on there toes I have i thin 7-9 of them in my Pond..The Vlamingi tank keeps them on edge worried about her going CHROMIS BOWLING..This is what she does when they congregate when she is in a hateful mood.. This can be done in a smaller tank with a smaller but still aggressive fish .when the stop schooling is when they feel no longer threatened by anything in the tank and focus there attention on who is the BOSS.. Things go badly for the smallest when this happens. A OCCUPIED Chromis is live chromis..

This is 110% accurate .. I have been keeping them since i started keeping marine life . Much longer ago them i am going to admit..

Still not helpful with my specific question, but thank you for your response. Allow me to explain further...If you put a Flame Angel and a Yellow Wrasse together, they are likely not going to mess with each other as they are enough removed from one another not to care...now, is a Green Chromis and a Blue Reef Chromis enough removed to feel the same or will they likely attack each other much like two Dottybacks of different colors would? I am specifically looking at housing one blue reef chromis and one green chromis together in a tank my size (see signature). I believe this is the clearest I can be on my question. Would luv to hear from someone who's tried it.

Thanks,

Any damsels in less than 100 gallons are apt to kill each other. One chromis in a 40-50 is fine.
