2 Fish MWS in the Last Week???

I have had my 46 gallon bow front populated with fish now for 7 months. The system was running about 6 months before adding fish.

I have now had 2 fish go MWX (Missing While Swimming:headwally:). They are there one night before lights go out and then the next morning they are gone. I have rather open rock work, so today I pulled up a couple of the rocks turned off the pumps and checked for an unwanted critter. None found.

The first fish was my copperband he was in there for about 6 months and very healthy eating fine, he went MWS last weeekend. The next fish was my Kole Tang / Yellow Eye which went MWS today. I can not find any bodies or anything.

Currently in the tank are:
Foxface
Bumbee Goby
Royal Gramma
Potters Angel
Leopard Wrasse

Small red brittle star fish - haven't seen him in months
1.5 in fighting conch
3 in spiny urchin
a couple small zebra hermits

mushroom corals

small rock anemone

CHemistry is fine, have 2 koralis for flow and a 125 Coralife SKimmter (works great - very happy with it)

I have glass over half the top, today added the some more glass so just about 2-3 inches in the back is open.

I do have 2 cats but they don't bother the tanks (have another one), I don't know if they for some reason jumped out in the middle of night and maybe one of the cats put them somewhere. The tank is in my bedroom right by me, I have heard one fish jump before (the foxface shortly after he was put in)and woke up to place him back in. I have heard nothing lately.

I am looking for a culprit - maybe a large worm in the sand, didn't see anything yet. No sounds of a mantis clicking, pulled the rocks up that were in contact with the sand only to find bristleworms.

Is it possible the scavengers finished the fish off in one night if they died for some yet unknown reason.

Had to vent this because I hate losing fish without knowing the reason why so I can fix the problem:headwally:

Its too bad you lost the fish. check your ammonia and a water chage would not be a bad idea. My opinion the tank was over stocked so mybe there is a silver lining.
