2 inch crocea care?

plancton

Well I bought a 2 " crocea clam, and I am keeping it under T5s with parabolic reflectors.
Somewhere I read that small clams need to be fed as they rely more on feeding that photosisntesis, is this true?.

If so how do you target feed them?.
I have cyclop eeze is that ok?

Feed DTs phytoplankton... they will not get anything from cyclopeeze. Feed regularly (read the bottle) until he reaches about 3-4 inches to be safe. At that size they are very vulnerable

phytoplankton is not necessary, but the clams will take it in. if all is perfect, you can expect around an inch of growth a year.

It depends upon your lighting... and how much you decide to feed them. Personally, I have never fed my baby croceas in the past.. I simply just blasted them with lots of light in my tank (with a high bioload) and they seemed to do just fine.
