2 MP10w's in a 90?

I've had one MP40W on my 90 before, seemed like alot of flow on one side of the tank. Would 2 MP10W balance out the aquarium more? I feel like 2 MP40w's would be overkill.

I would use the Vortech more for a random flow stirring things up and supplement them with the Tunze 6025's that are in the tank now.

I have 2 mp40s on mine. I dial them down so they aren't super high, and I get great movement. And once in a while, its nice to really turn them up to get things stirred up.

Hijacking this thread sorry. I am getting 2 mp10's for my 65g (36x20x21), all the placements of these i have seen have been on the sides. Is there anything wrong with placing them on the back glass? I have a center overflow and dont want to see them on the sides.

Would probably be good. 90 is not longer than a 55 if my memory serves...

I can't even put my 1 MP-10 on maximum in my 55 without eroding coral tissue!

I had 2 mp10s on a 75 and had to supplement with 2 6025s in a mixed reef. I'd go with 2 mp40s. these pumps seem more likely to burn out and are much louder when they are cranked all the way up.

If it were me id find a tunze alternative. I'm using 2 mp10s on a 33 gallon. theyre turned down pretty low. of course, one of the controllers just went down out of no where. i hate dealing with the maintenance of the mp10's.

It's sad what im willing to put up just to keep a couple cords out of my tank.

I use one MP40 (80-85% power) and one korali evo 1400 on my 75g. the flow and movement on the MP40 side is significantly more than the flow on the opposite side...it really produces a lot of movement in the first 2 feet. I plan to get a second MP40 down the line. For a 90 I would reccomend 2 MP40's as well

Definitely two mp40s. I run two mp10s on my 65 reef and they run close to 85-100 percent all day in my Lps/sps tank and sometimes I wish I had an mp40. It's always better to have too much than too little

With 2 mp40s do you guys have any other PH's in the tank?

My MP-40 is on the left side. I have to keep my return lines pointed to the right side to keep adequate flow on that side. A second MP would be perfect.

I think 2 MP-40's are good for up to 6 foot tanks, but any longer and the middle of the tank would need some supplementation.
