Hello everyone.

I noticed that my new clowns sleep at the surface of the water and thought they might like an anemone for safety and security.

I have a 29 gallon biocube with the stock lights (i believe 72 watt pc's, 36w 10k and 36w actinic), so I need something that doesn't need a ton of light (bulbs are new).

Thoughts/ideas?

Ok, thanks deangelr. Ocellaris typically host in BTA's or is there a better, more likely host out there that I should upgrade lighting for?

bta is your only option i think even with upgraded light other anemones will much more light and larger tank with better water conditions. And clowns will host bta no problem.

There are more likeley hosts, but your lighting wont keep natural host healthy.. BTA and Haddoni do fine under medium lighting.. Your tank is too small to put a haddoni in (unless that is all you want in there).. Even a BTA's can grow extemely large , but when confined they tend to stay small.

MOST occellaris will accept BTA as thier host.. SOME will not.

Are the clowns in your avatar the clowns you are talking about..? Just asking because they dont look like occellaris

keen eye! Those are clarkii clowns. I took them back and got the ocellaris clowns. The clarkii's sure loved the xenia!
