I have 2 pairs of clowns, a pair of percs and a pair of tomato, they are in different tanks, the tomatos have out grown their present tank and I am need to know is they could both live happy in my 100gal? I was thinking that it would be a long shot, but my son wanted to know, he didn't want to tade in the tomatos, we have had them for along time.

thanks chris

In a 100g they might be OK. It's hard to predict sometimes. I've seen different pairs of clownfish coexist in smaller tanks, but I've seen them kill each other in larger tanks.

If the percs are established in an anemone, the tomatoes might try to oust them.

IME it is not worth trying. Pairs of clowns can be done, but in most cases you wind up with one pair and some dead clowns. Even in tanks as large as a 300. They may get along at first, but if/when breeding instincts take over one pair will most likely kill the other. In this case I would bet the tomato's would be the pair left standing. Tomato's can be very aggressive. My female used to draw blood when I worked in the tank.
