2 part question

I was considering making my own two part solution after reading the improved DIY two part solution article. How many of you are using this in your own tanks and how is it working out? Right now Im using C-balance by two little fishies but it is getting expensive. Using this DIY formula would really keep costs down for me. Wanted to know everyones experience with this.

I am using it now with great success! I was using BIonic before, and didnt notice any negative effects when switching over.

hey eric im using 2 part as its been working well so far, randys system is pretty accurate as far as how much needs to be dosed, etc..

i have an almost full bag of dowflake that i doubt i will use up anytime soon, if you want some ill be happy to trade with you, let me know

Dow flake prior to "V" on the UPC code is fine, the new stuff has more bromide in it. http://www.dow.com/causticsoda/qual/lot.htm
I made my own 2 part from DESCO calcium hardness, so far is working fine, the label claims 100% calcium chloride. It looks just like the Dow flake.
