2 pistol shrimp in one tank?

I am wanting to pick up a tiger or randalli pistol and goby for my tank. but I think I have a pistol in my rock work already. He was a hitchhiker years ago, and I have only seen him a couple of times over the years, but I hear him every night.

Would the 2 pistols in 72g tank be asking for trouble?

im wondering this aswell. i actualy wanted to know if pistol shrimp would be safe with any other shrimp ....btw i got a randalli for my watchman goby and they paired up in under a minute:p although until thisweekend i hadnt seen either the goby or the pistol since i introduced the pistol about a month ago

Most shrimps are fine together.. except for MANTIS which would eat most of your inverts or a large Coral Bandid shrimp which also may predate on smaller species ( aggressive as well )

I have a large tiger pistol and randalli goby pair. They live under one large section of rock. About three feet away under another rock is a wild pistol that I have had for two years. He hitchhiked on the live rock and stays well hidden. I have only been able to coax him out about halfway with food so that I could see him.

In a big enough tank, I am sure it would work for anyone, as long as the two shrimp don't try to take the same burrow. If they have a territory battle, one may kill the other. If you can get them to set up shop at different ends of the tank, you'd be fine.

thanks for the input.

I think I will go ahead and start looking for a pair. although, I dont believe I will getting a randalli goby, I didnt realize they were going for like $50 for the goby alone!!!

I can get several other colorful gobies for about $20
