2 questions about my 90 and a 6100

Hi,

I am looking into adding a 6100 and singlecontroller to my tank for added flow. I have 2 questions.

1. can I use the larger magnet holder? (I plan to upgrade tanks)
2. What types of control does the controller offer? Can I set it to pulse at a set time interval? I can't seem to figure it out by looking at pics of it.

i dont see why you couldnt use the larger magnet, but Roger would know better. Usiung the 7091 controller you can set the pump to pulse between two different power settings on a designated interval.

The main thing is to be careful installing the magnet if you go oversize as it could break the glass if the halves slam together.

That is certainly somthing to consider. Broken glass is not a good thing.

any tips on how NOT to break the glass when installing a magnet?

The manual shows carefully sliding the magnets together and not putting them right up together. This works fine except the little rubber feet tend to stick to the glass and pull off if you use the feet on the outside which you really don't need to do.
