How would I plum in an extra ro filter? I'm thinking I could run the waste from one to the inlet on the 2nd. Will this cut down my total waste?

Yes and Yes. Its exactly how BRS plumbs their water saver units.

The BRS 150 GPD upgrade kit does just that. There are videos on their website that show how to set it up.

Check the BRS video on how to install the upgrade. They do a good job but its still a lil confusing
