2 ?s on larval clownfish raising

1) live rotifers is the choice food but, has anyone been able to use frozen (defrosted) rotifers? (I know dry foods have worked)

2) the eggs hatch when the lights go out however, one can interupt this by disturbing with bright lights. The eggs seem to hatch the following day when the lights go out. Would delaying the hatching actually help strengthen the eggs/larvae by hatching a day later?
