2 things---ballast and white spots

OK, I figure kill 2 birds with one stone.

1. does anyone have a 96 watt 2 lamp ballast for sale? My old one is shot.

2. I just came back from vacation and I had a person looking after my dogs and fish. Everything is pretty much the same since I left only, the coraline algae is missing from some of my rocks, leaving white spots and some rocks completely white., I did lose a light bulb due to my bad ballast while I was gone but the missing or dead coraline is on both sides of the tank, not just under where I lost a bulb. Is it lack of Calcium? or do you think my new Copperband is the culprit? He ate ALL of my Aiptasia and I had ALOT of it. I do not know of them eating coraline though. Another strange thing is that my Cheato has all died in my sump since I have been gone. ***?? All fish and coral look great and healthy, though.

Any input would be good, and or remedies since it has taken me forever and a day to get the coraline.

Did you check you calcium level?
That may not be it but always good to check.....
My calcium fell to 300 while i was away for three weeks and my coraline turned white, i blamed it on the other items i does weekly. My son was dosing calcium while i was gone, just not enough to keep the level higher.

Yeah, I am upping my calcium. I left instructions for adding calc but I don't think she did it enough. As for lighting, does anyone know anything about Ecoxotic lighting and if it is really expensive? I have a canopy and am having a hard time figuring out the lighting options. I guess I will have to cut a hole in the canopy to add T5 or metal halide?

Quick search on ebay and you can get Ballast and end caps for PC for 25 bucks.......
