Quick question for everyone.
What wave makers do you think would suit my system best, my options are a single Gyre 250 mounted on the back or 2 Tunze 6095 WIDEFLOWS also mounted on the back.
This is for a Display Frag system measuring 36x30x18.
I like the Gyre for its form factor and flow pattern, but Tunzes quality and longevity keeps me thinking.
Will a single Gyre do the job? How is the quality? Do they Make a lot of noise?
Thanks

What are you keeping? I have a soft coral 180 and I don't really go above 20% on a pair of gyre 250s. Those things move A LOT of water.

Personally I like Tunze. I have tried many options thru the 20+ years I have been in the hobby. Surge tanks, sea swirls, sea sweeps, maxi jets on wave devices, numerous brands of power heads including Vortecs, closed loops, gyres of different sizes etc. Of everything I have used Tunze is what always went back to and what I use today. They are rock solid, move a lot of water and have had so few few problems that I honestly can’t remember ever having one break on me. Gyres were a bit finicky for me. I run all sps tanks and a ton of flow and even the largest gyres just didn’t have the punch I like to provide the corals. I personally would always recommend a Tunze from my experience.
