2 Vortech MP10's and Apex

I have the above set up with the wxm module to control the MP10's. I attached the MP10's per Neptune Systems instructions (got each Mp10 to blink red/white/blue, then purple/red, ten reset, then blink red/white/blue, then blue/yellow to assign each as a slave to the wxm). I have the pumps set up as the following:

Vortech_4_1
Set AntiSync
If Time 8:00 to 9:00 then Sync
If Time 12:00 to 13:00 then Sync
If Time 19:00 to 21:00 then Sync
If Time 22:00 to 6:00 then Slow
If FeedA 000 Then OFF

Vortech_4_2
Set Pulse
If Time 8:00 to 10:00 then ReefCrst
If Time 12:00 to 14:00 then TidalSwl
If Time 16:00 to 20:00 then Nutrient
If Time 22:00 to 6:00 then Slow
If FeedA 000 then OFF

My Right side Vortech is blinking white with dull LED's
My Left side Vortech is solid purple with solid LED's

They don't appear to be operating correctly. At the time I wrote this down they should be in nutrient transport mode with each one pulsing at opposing times. They appear to just be running constant.

Need some help making sure these are set up correctly.

Oh. It created two outlets one for each Vortech. But I still have 2 outlets that the are plugged into set up and turned on (EB8_5_2 and EB8_5_3). Do I need to do anything with those outlets or leave them be since they are labelled differently than the ones created when I paired the pumps to the wxm ? Thanks.

The two outlets created automagically called "Vortech_3_1" or something similar are virtual outlets. Those are the pumps and those are the ones you assign the profiles to.

That's what I did and the results are in my fist post. The mp10's don't look like they are acting according to the way they are programmed.

Your master needs to be Vortech_4_2. Also, make sure that max intensity is what you want. Currently it's limited to 50%. And if you want one pump to be the opposite of another, then antisync is what you want. Sync will make it the same.

Make that change and you should be good to go.

Should they all be set to VarSpd2_I2 or just the Sync profile? Also what does the On Time number indicate?

It starts as Vortech_4_2 when I hit save it changes to VarSpd2_I2.

Try using the web pages instead of the display module. The on-time is not used for the Sync or Antisync profiles - in the web pages you'll see it's grayed out. All you can update is max intensity and master pump. You're not going to use the varspd outlets at all - those are for Tunze pumps or dimmable lights.

Well I can't use the web pages. I no longer have this hooked up to my router and it is too far for any cable I have. So you are saying it should accept Vortech_4_2 ?

Yes, it has to. You can only sync (or antisync) to another Vortech pump. In fact, it's strange that the varspd outlet is even being displayed. There's something else going on here.

It'll bring up Vortech but as soon as you hit ok it switches it back to the varspd outlet. Should all the Vortech custom programs be set to Vortech_4_2 ?

Well now the temp and ph are showing wrong and the display is slow or freezing and the outlets arent performing correctly...***?

Are you on the latest firmware? If not, might be a good place to start. You've got something strange happening.

You'll need to be on a hard wired connection to do this so when you get to that point, you might want to try first the web pages to configure your profiles and see if that works any better than the display.

I'm on 4.04B211. I'll have to run about a 25' Ethernet cable. Will it still function correctly over that long of a run of cable? Also. What should the outlets that the mp10's are plugged into be set at? I am talking about my original outlets (EB8_5_2 and 5_3) before I paired to to the WXM and it created the 2 vortech ones?

Neptune supports up to 200' so you should be fine.

If you plug those into an EB8, then just Fallback ON Set ON is all you need but you don't need to use EB8 outlets for them. You can use a power strip off a wall outlet since they're always going to be on and you'll control the pump (even OFF) via the virtual outlets.

Everything seems ok now that I made the adjustments online. The only thing left is a bad ph reading. Not sure if it's getting interference or not. It's a digital aquatics probe that is brand new that I never used from my old reefkeeper 2. MP10's are zipping right along. I removed the sync commands. I like them running anti-sync all the time except night time.
