I have this Achilles that's been hospitalized with 0.5 ppm of cupramine for the past two weeks due to ich. It's eating and active but still possessing a few white spots on its fins. What should I do? Advice please.

If I remember correctly, I doubled cupramine dose for 6 weeks. Someone else can chime in. My achilles is in a tank with ich in it but is thriving with a working immunity.

what was the ppm measurement? If LR or LS was in the tank, they would absorb the meds therefore reducing the overall ppm.

Thanks. That just shows the amount of conservatism in their recommended dosage.

My guess is that the recommended dosage is there for potential use with fish that don't tolerate copper well like angels. Most other fish will be fine with double dose including tangs

Two more weeks at the same dosage as a minimum.
