2 weeks since last feeding for harlequin

I have a pair and i fed them 1 whole chocolate chip starfish that they consumed in about 10 days. Its been 2 weeks since i saw the female with the last piece of starfish, but i cant locate the male. Is he hiding very well in my 14g biocube or did she eat him??

it might have been 2 to 2.5 weeks, there's nothing else in the tank but them and a clean up crew

I assure you she didn't eat him. They are STRICTLY starfish eaters, nothing else. If he isn't hiding he probably died and the clean up crew got him. But if he is small, he most likely is hiding.

how often should i be feeding them? is once every 2 weeks good or too soon?

Well I've never had one, but I know that some people feed them 1 or 2 a week. Then if they see the shrimp aren't interested in the starfish during the week, they just remove it so it doesn't ruin the water.

I'm no expert with harlys so hopefully someone else can chime in too.

why would the male die? i bought these two as a pair. did it die from age? can i buy another male and have it pair up again with the female?

How do you know he isnt molting?

theyve molted before and ive been able to see them still, i already put a starfish in for food and only the female has been out eating it
