2 x 6105 settings for a 120

I have my 120 gallon (48 x 24 x 24) tank mostly set-up. I got my two 6105's going last night on my 7096 controller - wow, these are terrific! I plan on having a mixed reef, with a good amount of SPS - just wondering if anyone has setting recommendations? The flow from my return is pretty negligible. I went straight to the 12 v config, and have both 6105's in pulse mode, from 30% to 90% each, with a period of 1.5 seconds. Each is placed on the back wall of the tank in the left and right corners, angled approximately on a 45 degree angle toward the front center of the tank.

You might angle a bit past front center and try Interval mode with a 6hr interval alternating between pumps. A longer pulse of 2-3 seconds will give the pumps enough time to fully speed up and slow down.

Thanks, I will give that a try. Man, you really are quick with your responses, which is appreciated. As a general comment for a first time buyer, I've been really impressed with what I've seen. The only small complaint (and I mean very small) is I would have is that my 7096 controller did not come with an instruction booklet, only a CD, which I couldn't get to open on my mac. I ran it on my work PC no problem.

Yes, a Mac version is in the works, in fact the only reason it isn't out yet is we are doing an upgrade to the PC version and a new feature is being added and we want the Mac version to have the same features. The goal is to have it available as a free download on the Tunze website by the end of the month. The manual is a PDF on the CD Rom.

I have the same question Roger but for a 180. I'm planning on having one pump in the corner pointing out to the opposite corner of the 180 where the other pump will be shooting back. I can't put them both in the back corners because my wave box is in one of the corners.

Do you think this will work and what mode would you use if you were to place the pumps like this?
