2 x Tunze 6100's & 7095 multi Won't go to 100% Power

Hi,

I purchased a 24000 L/H Tunze kit yesterday (sorry Iââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢m an aussie can't be bothered looking up the gallons rating) which contains 2 x 6100 pumps and a 7095 multi controller. All the different modes work and the pumps are speeding up and slowing down but the power display on the multi only goes to 80% on both sides even when the knobs are set to 100%. The pump control boxes are set to max and I have tried swapping the pumps to different channels just in case.

I have I done something simple that has caused this? I can't really tell if the pump is still running faster between 80 & 100%, could it just be both 100% bulbs are blown and should I just send it back?

On a side note if only plug one pump in and set the controller to pulse. The other side that has no pump still has the power leds go up and down when the pump would be pulsing if it was there. Even with no pump it still won't go past 80% lit up which makes me think itââ"šÂ¬Ã¢"žÂ¢s the multi controller.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Michael

The bulbs aren't blown and the pumps are at 100%- their are 2 possible scenarios.

A) On a new pump or dirty pump the extra friction keeps it from spinning at full speed and while it is getting 100%, it can't quite do it and this makes a feedback dropping one of the LED's. If this is the case, waiting a week or so for the pump to wear in or cleaning a dirty pump will fix it.

B) I was informed by Tunze that a batch had too high a resistance to the LED's, again, it is doing 100% but not lighting up properly. I have yet to see this yet myself but maybe Mike has such a unit. They told me if I happen to see any such controllers, I should swap the circuit board and return the bad one and they would repair it and return it. It has to go back to Germany for this repair but I would swap the board from my stock here so the delay would be minimal, I would assume the same for Australia, just contact the importer Aquadepot, his name is Graeme.

Roger,

My setup is new. I just started using it on Thursday and purchased it about a month ago from SaltyCritter. I'll wait for the pumps to break in, and I'll let you know if the led's come on.

Roger, I have on of these

Roger, I have on of these

Roger,

I posted a thread on this subject several months ago. My controller will not indicate 100%. I purcahsed my equipment from jlaquatics in Vancouver BC. To whom should I send the unit. Is it possible to have a replacement one sent...

What they wanted me to do in Germany was exchange only the circuit board and return the boards for repair, it is a simple repair for someone with the right tools as it is just one resistor bank which is too strong. I would contact the importer for Canada, Xenia, at www.giesemannlicht.com.

Roger,

Mine is still not lighting up correctly either. As long as it doesn't affect anything and operates properly, I'll just live with it. If I ever need to send it to you for a repair or something, I'll just have you fix it then. Is this ok with you?

Thanks,
Mike

That's fine but your pumps would run without it though and I am sure they would want to get them all done and have this off their shoulders. It wouldn't take but a day after I got it.

Just send it to me, UPS is safest.

I just need the actual controller.
