20 Gal reef lighting

I am finally jumping into the salt water action. I am starting with a spare 20 gal with a 8 gal sump/refuge. My lighting consists of 2 Coralife 50/50 10000k 9in. bulbs and 2 24 in. t12's which I have the fixture for but havn't purchased the bulbs. I can have the 2 9in. 10000k's on a separate timer from the 24 in. bulbs. My purchase options for the 24 in. bulbs are day light deluxe 6500k, natural sunshine 5000k, cool white 4100k, soft white 3000k, or plant and aquarium 2700k. Would it make sense to start the 24 in. lights a couple hours earlier than the 10000k's with a cool white 5000k , and plant and aquarium 2700k. Or possibly just wake the tank up with the 2 10000k's and 2 6500's. So just wondering with the lights available to me is a dusk and dawn scenero realistic.
Thanks:

Between aquariums and quadding I am happily broke!

what are you planning on having for corals. in my experience normal t-12 lighting isnt very goos for most corals although its a small tank. I have a 20 gallon high nano with a 10 gallon sump I have 2 21 in pc bulbs (actinics) with a 70 watt metal halide. when I first started it I rean the pcs one 10k and one actinic and everything grew well
