Hey everybody. I've been a member here for a few years now but never really posted much. I decided to get back into the hobby a couple months ago and here is my start. I don't have a great camera, but here's a few pics anyway. Thanks for stopping by.

Glad your back, thanks for sharing your fresh start! I'm looking to start a 20 long after a break too, how long has your tank been up?

Beautiful tank. I too have been out of the hobby for awhile and now have a 20 gallon long cycling. I want it to look like your tank when it grows up.

great looking tank!i have a 5 gal right now, but will be setting up a 20L soon too.what sorta lighting do you have?

Thanks for the compliments! The tank has only been running for a little over two months. I'm not sure what fish I will go with but I'm definitely considering a yellow watchman. As for lighting it's an odyssea 4x24 t5ho with ati bulbs. I'll try to update with some additional pics as I add livestock and as time permits. If anyone has any other questions please feel free to ask.

Very nice! I've also been out of the hobby for a while - 5 years. I kept goldfish and cichlids for a while but that didn't satisfy me. Right now I'm somewhere between the planning/set-up stage. So far I have an empty 28 gallon Biocube and two Ecoxotic par38 12K lamps set up.... plus a large rubbermaid contain of unexpectedly (and cheaply!!) acquired live rock. Reading these posts and seeing the pics has really got me inspired - thanks!

I know how ya feel with the empty tank sitting! I just bought the 40 breeder that this will eventually go into and it's sitting here empty too. I'm building the stand right now and trying to plan ahead myself.

Just bought a 40&20 long today. You could set up the 40, and use the 20 as a sump. I plan on setting up a mini reef in the middle of the sump. If that gives u any ideas

I built the overflow and siliconed it in. Not the greatest but it works decent. Quicksilverchin that's a cool idea but I'm not gonna do a sump. Will just have an ac110 with surface skimmer probably. I want it to be simple.

Here's the overflow for PatrickLong and anyone else whos concerned. I have since relocated the return pump to the bottom of the chamber with a hose.

Since I was posting a pic, I thought I'd share a few more with you guys. I dont think I told you guys but I came home to my clown on the carpet one day last week so I am now fishless.

This is my brain when I first bought it, about the same time.

Here it is last night after I dropped a few pellets in and a few landed on it. It has really grown also and really seems to like those new life spectrum pellets. You can see the one head eating like 3 pellets! And it ate all of it! Thanks for looking

Sorry to hear about the carpet surfer.

That overflow looks very nice to me, is that a bended piece, or just rounded joints?
