I meant to post this picture when I got things over a month ago, but procrastination is my middle name
This picture was from the day that I got shipment 2 - I've since moved some things around, added a few fish, and the anemone have moved to opposite sides of the tank, but I wanted to show everything from the day I got it:
Remind me to resize pictures in the future - didn't realize how enormous this one was.
The whole experience was great. Everything arrived intact, and there was so much life on the rock that I have to stop myself from laughing at the stuff they sell as Live Rock at the LFS. Six weeks later I'm still discovering new life, and the kids love it.
There were three mantis shrimp in the rock. The largest was almost 4 inches long, and a really beautiful green. Unfortunately, he didn't survive the extraction - you guys really need to warn people that the claw isn't the cleanest of methods for removing them
The claw also requires lightning reflexes to use. The other two were a lot smaller, and I gave up on trying to remove them, because I can't get a good angle on them. But one of them killed a cucumber last night :furious: Time to start setting the traps.
Anyway, thanks Richard for the great stuff
Ted
