Wow, I didn't realize you were so good at building things. If I would have known I would have put you to work when you were here ha-ha! I can't wait to see the finished product!
I cheated and Im glad the pics makes it look better. But thank you. I took more time on this than when i tryed to build a stand for the 10g. Thats why i bought a metal stand cause the one i built wasnt straight. Im going to stain the sides and set it up tonight. I dont want to risk losing any livestock. I will trim it and build a canopy toward the end of the month.
The stand is stained, the plumbing is complete, the tank is up and 3/4 full. I have powerheads running at the moment. Tonight i will transfer livestock and the rest of the water. Im already going to love staring at this one. That couple extra inches makes a big difference. More pics tonight!
I think it was $16 for a 4x8 sheet. I got it here in Okeene, America. Im sure Lowes or HD will have somthing similar. This stuff is a little less than 1/4" thick. I dont recomend using that thin of plywood. Ive had some trouble with it bowing a bit.
i have a MJ 1200,900 and a penguin laying around. I have the 1200 for now and will see how that does. i think i may step down to the 900, but i will wait till i get everything in first. Right now the 1200 is a little much.
Have you considered a Koralia #1? I know it pushes 400gph wich is a tad more than the 295 you'll get from the MJ1200, but the flow pattern is so much wider that it almost seems like less flow, it's just not as laminar. It won't push the current as far as a MJ either, so it's nice in a small setup. just a thought for ya
Well the move is complete. So far no lost livestock. Im forgeting something...Oh yeah...you want pics. Well here you go. I still have work to do, its not complete yet but i will post as it get there.
My corals are already starting to open, the temp is slowly be brought back up, and everything is running smoothly. Im leaving the MJ1200 in the tank. My next task is to build a canopy and finish the door.
Well everything looked good this morning. Nothing dead and no water on the floor so thats gotta be a plus. The drain is MUCH quieter than the ten gallon. I will get some pics later.
