2000 Gallon Reef Pool

Welles, thank you for all those excellent videos.

Can you tell us a bit more about the four Moorish Idols? How long have you had them together? How do they get along with each other? Are they safe with other reef inhabitants? Do they damage any invertebrates? What do you find best to feed them?

Thx,

Dave.M

Wow thats one hell of a view looking through the glass, very natural looking

Is it possible to get a pic of the equipment room?

Thank god this tank is still up and running. Nice videos, the tank looks like it is progressing nicely. Your lighting description was helpful, but I would still love to find out more about the equipment you are using. I ask because I have been dreaming of a tank this size and would love to see your layout.
Thanks again for sharing, your reef pool is an inspiration to all of us.

OMG making me think about doing this in my pool. This is crazy gotta talk to the wifey about converting our in ground pool to something like this droooooooolllll~~~~~~~

to dave.m: Some friends working on a public aquarium here told us the key point to keep Moorish Idols is keep them in small school, so the size of the aquarium should be as big as possible, so we try it in this pool, now there are nine Moorish Idols in the pool, they have been added in two batch, in any process such as quarantine, we try to keep them in smell school to avoid pressing, baiscly they are not very agressive for each other and other fishs, till now we do not find they have damage invertebrates seriously but they do like to peck live rocks. Now we feed them with food made by ourself, mixing with fish, squid, beef and alge.

to sweetnsour: there are three 3000GPH pump hidden between deep area and shallow area, just like close loop, and some SEIO pump as additional for some area.

What about filtration and sump room pics??? Would love to see the type of pumps and skimmers for this system.

What a cool idea.. Thats is just amazing.. Looking forward to following this tread, by far one of the most interresting set-ups I have seen. I might steel the idea one day ;=)
