My DT is 150 gallons with a ~55 gallon sump. Taking out the room for the ATO unit, my math says the system is 203 gallons exactly.

I just started cycling some cured rock I picked up. So far, all parameters are looking good. Nitrates were undetectable, and ammonia was barely there. You can see the build thread here!

Enjoy!

The tank is running 2 250 watt halides and a 65 watt actinic for night lights. I think im gonna stick my sunpod HQI in the middle.

I stuck my seaclone in there just for the cycling process. Trust me, that piece of crap isn't going to last a week. My Aqua-C 120 is on my other tank, and im going to switch to that.

My 46g tall, most of the rock and livestock will go in the 150.

Im really deliberating the stocklist. I want a pretty small bioload for the time being because of my smaller skimmer. Heres what I'm thinking...

(Stuff marked with * I already got )

-4" Hippo Tang*

- Scopas/Kole tang (Some smaller tang, I want a good algae eater)

- 5" Coral Beauty Angel* (I got this monster for free from a guy breaking down his tank. Its who I bought the LR from)

- Bluethroat/Redthroat Trigger (Center piece for the tank, I may try to get a pair. Definitely going last for aggression's sakes. )

- Maroon Clownfish Pair

- Firefish*

- Dartfish*

- Clarkii Clown*

- Psychedelic Mandarin* (I have a male, i'd love to pair him up with a nice lady)

- Lawnmower Blenny*

- Orange Spotted Goby*

What else should I get? This a good start?

Take off the maroon clowns. Not only will there be aggression between them and the clarki but they are just plain mean!!

I may throw the clarkii in my 29g or in the sump. Im not really a fan. I have heard that they are the most aggressive clowns out there, but their so cool looking. What if I got them an anemone to host in?

That will probably make it worse. No fish will be allowed to come near that area.

hmmm.... now im deliberating the maroons. I'm thinking about adding them last, and as long as they don't get brook I can always return them if they tear up the tank.

Here are some pics of underneath and with just the sunpod on. The Hippo has acclimated great, hes still a bit camera shy but he loves the new tank.

My current stocklist in the tank is:

- Hippo Tang
-Coral Beauty Angel
- 1 (Very beat up) Chromis
- Zebra Striped Dartfish
- Firefish
- LMB
- Spotted Mandarin
- Orange Spotted Goby

- Coral Banded Shrimp
- 4-5 Tiny Peppermint Shrimp
- Fire Shrimp
- 3ish Emerald Crab
- Haitian Reef Anemone
- Misc. Snails/Hermits
- Xenia
- GSP
- Frogspawn
- Gorgonian
- Zoas
- Kenya Trees
- Shrooms
- Anything else I might have missed

I got the rockwork how I like it, now its time to go buy stuff!

Lastly,

I put both my clowns and all my extra LR in my 29g in my room. That tank has been running for a while and is a very well seeded tank. I fragged some GSP and put in my old koralias from my 46g which I broke down. It looks a lot bigger with all the rocks in it.
