I was just wondering, but do you have a ro/di unit or what do you do for water? And what amount do you do for water changes if any?

Hey....No i don't have a RO/DI unit. I wish i did, but i really don't have anywhere to put on right now. They are nice to have though. I just do water changes once a month. I get 5g of RO/DI water premixed with salt from my LFS to do my water changes. I use Wal-mart one gallon jugs to do my weekly top off. I have never had a prob. using the Wal-mart water and have been doing so for over 2 years. Every now and then i'll use RO/DI water for top offs if i have any. In my 20g i just do 5g once a month.

Are you doing well without a protein skimmer? I bought an aquaclear 70 for my 29g and was wondering if that would be enough for a FOWLR tank w/ snails and shrimp. Seeing that you have two aquacler 110 makes me think that a AQ 70 isnt enough.

I'm doing fine without a protein skimmer. I never planned on having one with this setup and everythings is fine.....

What about your live rock amount? It seems you didnt follow the 1-1.5lb per gallon. Will I be just as fine with 15lbs of live rock in a 29g compared to 45lbs

Also what brand heater are you using?
