20g - pipefish?

Assuming there are no compatibility concerns, here are a few:

A male/female pair of blue striped pipefish would probably do alright in a 20 gallon.

Syngnathis scovelli would do fine as well.

Blue stripe pipefish are nice and small and readily spawn. They will do nicely in that tank as well as most pipefish as long as you can feed them a couple of times a day. They won't find nearly enough food in there by themselves.
I hatch baby brine shrimp every day.
I find the bluestripes very easy but not the banded pipefish for such a small tank

Paul, have you tried hikari mysis? Mine eat it greedily.

I do feed mysis and they eat small ones but with pipefish I like to have food in there all day so I give live baby brine every day. The bluestripes also find a lot of pods in my tank because it is kind of old. They hunt all day and rub the sides of their snout along rocks to eat the pods.

I am picking the tank up tomorrow as its just been built. Its a shallow tank 24" 16" 13"

The plan for this tank:
I have plan on corals mainly lps and few sps monti capri and digitas. Its going to be painted on the 16" (wall) side so it can be viewed all three sides. I'm trying out like an island scape in the middle and only a 1cm deep sand bed. I am looking into quite a few different species of shrimp. They wouldn't get eaten would they?

They are some stunning species. I did look into them and was hoping they'd be suitable for my setup. I was looking also to keep some yellow stripe clingfish totally peaceful and very similar looking to the pipefish and also need live cultured food so I can get used to feeding and culturing live pods and brine.

Pipefish don't need much flow but clingfish are very difficult to keep alive anywhere

I'll be aiming for 45x turnover will that be too much for them? I have read quite a bit on how hard clingfish are to keep but does anyone know the main reason they dont do too well in aquariums.

What will be good tank friends for the pipefish. I was thinking of neon gobies.

on the shirt faced pipefish: they grow to about 3 inches so they can be kept in huge schools.

Clingfish eat but just seem to die very early, I don't know why
