Sorry for the late reply Jess, I still have:

$15 Large Corky Finger Gorgonian

I forgot what you told me... how much lighting do you have??? (I'm not try to sound discouraging) But under NO (normal output) lighting, I'm not sure you could keep anything other than possibly the zoos, and even then they probably wouldn't do very well. I'm pretty sure the kenya tree should survive since I've had them live in my dark sump, but I'm not sure you will have too much luck with anything else.

Well, I dont have much experience with commercial fixtures but there are some good ones out there. Maybe someone else will chime in, but I know most of the guys DIY'd their own.
Ive got 4 x 55W PC setups that would need a "hood" to go into but that would require some building.
Have you done any research.... are you planning to go with T5's, PCs, metal Halides or VHO?

Halides seem to do the trick! t5 have a pretty good reputation too

I have a mixed reef like you are shooting for and my preference is metal Halide lighting with actinics. For the actinics I’m using four 96 watt pc’s which I will be switching to T-5’s in the future. I’ve been down the T-5 road as primary lighting but sense I changed over to MH’s I have had much more success with growth and color in both SPS (Small polyp stony coral) and LPS (Large polyp stony coral). The problem with T-5’s as a primary lighting source is by the time you get the bulb configuration to suit your color preference you can spend a fortune. You may want to post this question in the main forum also so it gets the most views and responses as possible. As far as were to buy most buy online.

I have determined that I dont have room in my main tank... so I will be selling my mushroom rock.... It has many green striped (watermelon) shrooms, purple shrooms, hot pink shrooms (very cool), and one large orange shroom. $20
Also, for those that asked, here are some pictures of the 20G. It is now $50 because the ATO is sold.
