20L falsewall

This is my 20L that I setup last night. The display is a 22"long with a 8X6 sump and 8x6 fuge. The reason for the all in one tank is the portability factor and simplicity. The tank will be a divider between two rooms when I move. The flow is provided by a mag 3 which goes into a SCWD. The pump and SCWD can easily be removed by pulling up. The two 90s fit together very well and I have not had any issues with leaking. If I do in the future I can just secure them with zip ties. The surface skimmer is adjustable by moving a piece of acrylic up or down. Its currently all the way down and the water level is right where I want it. I still have to work on my aquascaping and deciding if I am going to put more LR in. The lights are 2x32 PC and my 2x24W t5s will be in Monday. I hope that it will be enough light for softies and lps. I am working on getting the canopy built for them.

Post some more picks about the flow patterns and moonlights! What are your plans for corals and such?

Thumbs up!

I like what you did with that water flow. Right now the only thing I added was two green hair mushrooms, but they are not a big fan of the lights as I think they are a bit too much. The flow is ok, provides some random movement but not too much. The moon light is just this http://store.yahoo.com/directron/lzbupcblu.html but its controlled by an aqua controller jr. They have 4" lights that may work better.

A few issues I have with mine is I need a bubble trap. in the sump area and with my lid design * a bad one* there is no room for a sump light so its on the side of the tank.

What materials did you use for you return outlets?? Can you list them? Im in the process of making a false wall in my 40 Hex and looking for ideas.

thanks APedroza

The returns are loc line fittings from Marinedepot.com as for the plumbing from the scwd to the loc lines I was able to find some 90 degreed pipe that just happened to fit pretty well. and it a breeze to pull it all out and clean the pump and such.

I think these are right
