20L lighting question

Hey guys so I have been running just a simple FOWLR tank for about 3 months now and want to get into corals. I was just wondering if a 24 in. fixture would be enough for my 20L? So far its between the Marineland double bright LED and the Current USA Nova Extreme 2x24 watt T5 HO 10K/460nm. Which fixture do you think would give me the best results? Also I don't plan on keeping anything to difficult just some mushrooms, a pulsing xenia, zoa's, and star polyps.

Im no expert but I had a 48w T-5 unit w/ the same bulb specs on my 29g, which is the same footprint as a 20L and kept a few zoas and one star polyp just fine

I am running a 20L I started with 1 24" odyessa fixture and it worked just fine for several Corals but I caught the sps bug and needed more so got a 2nd one. The only downside to 24" is that the ends of your tank will be a lot darker than the rest of your tank. One fixture will be perfectly fine for polyps zoas and softies of many kinds.

If you are like almost everyone else, I'm sure you'll want more light. When I did my first tank, I went w/ almost the same light because I was on a budget, about 3 months later I ended up buying another fixture :headwally:

That was also on a 29g so I'm sure w/ the 20L you'll have more light penetration, hard to say since I havent seen it in person.

I am currently in planning mode of my next tank, and all I know is I'm just going to buy a little more light than I think I'll need because I know I'll want it in the long run, that all being said, I was still able to grow a few zoas and a starburst.
