Cool! I'm interested in seeing prices.

Just fyi - unless your LTA's have red bases - they're probably BTA's. Macrodactyla doreensis (LTA) rarley split in captivity. And usually have red feet burried deep in the sand - both of those look to be in the rocks and look like BTA's. Just my opinion - I've been wrong MANY times! (but spend a ton of time on the anemone board since I'm a nem junkie...)

I can buy that

if others agree, then I'll relabel them as GBTAs

they're in the rocks and have bulbous ends, so you have a strong case

the color in #11 is spot on

Cool - hope you don't mind I said something... Here is an identification description for LTA's

Macrodactyla doreensis (Quoy & Gaimard 1833), the Corkscrew Tentacle Sea Anemone, Long Tentacle Anemone (LTA), Sand, Red Based... Anemone. Column generally colored dull orange to red on lower part, to white above, buried in sediment that it can completely retract into. Oral disc flared widely, with prominent white radial lines. Tentacles uniform, long sinewy, tapering, corkscrew-like. Distinctive (eye-like, round, non-adhesive) verrucae in rows on the stalk. Disc often with radial appearance.

sorry, I didnt mention

the hair algae has come back in epic proportions

it has killed my big red monti cap and is choking out other things (like you can see in that superman)

Im going to move all of my livestock and clean the crap out of my rock, re-evaluate the system, and potentially re-stock it, but I might not....haven't decided and Im not leaning one way or another

if I decide Im not going to re-stock, be prepared for a huge equipment sale sometime, as well

that sucks about the hair algae. Baffles me since you've tried a million different things.

ALl that's left in my opinion would be some sort of fish to keep it at bay.

dude, I have no idea

the pincushion did a good job at first, but he can't get into the small cracks

its like if I trim it down to .0000000000001" that little bit will come blazing back

I run phosban, I have a fuge with a large amount of chaeto, I have 3 fish (two are tiny) and I feed them once per week, I have tons of nassarius snails

wth, oh well, I dont want this to turn into an algae solutions thread

FWIW:

the LTAs have been confirmed as, in fact, being GBTAs, so please ignore the labeling on the pics (thanks kim, jeff, and steve)

the mini carpet is spoken for and the line is 3 deep, thanks for everyone that has been interested, but I would say for certain that it is no longer available

Was the S. Tapetum the baby or the mother? To whomever the new owner is...they love black mollies. :D

it was the baby, Jack

Jeff has the mother

it also loves silversides

I took a crappy picture of #21 because it was after I got my tripod put away, etc

but they are super cool

they're called jokers because they look like PPEs only smaller and don't have the green mouth

they are deep purple w/ bright green skirt, very awesome

just sayin

lol
