I agree, that pillow is awesome. It was a gift from my wife's uncle. He is in process of setting up a 125 for himself!

The missing word there was GREAT "the tank looks GREAT" not sure why it was omited? But anyway..

hahaha...when I read your reply, I didnt even notice that there was a missing word. My brain inserted the word "great" all on its own :-)

Hey bud,

Awesome job. I can't wait to see it. You've got to fill me in on these people you get the goodies from. I'll have to start meeting up with the groups in NYC.

See pics on page 2 of the flame angel pillow in question...
BTW tank is looking good! The direct to drain water change setup makes water changes fun again and soooo much quicker!

Ahhhhhhh. Gotcha.

Had a minor scare this morning. Work up to find most of my fish covered with what looked like small white spots...This would be the great ick outbreak of 2006. After a lot of worrying, I pulled the UV from my old set-up and set it up here...thinking it may help a little. It was most of my fish, so setting up a hospital tank would have been kind of pointless.

I kind of gave up, had some breakfast, and started to do a couple of things around the house. A bit later, my wife calls me over saying "the ick is gone". I thought "yeah..right", but to my amazement, she was right.

My conclusion was that at night, while the fish were sleeping, the micro bubbles stuck to them. This is why my clown seemed completely unaffected, he's been snuggling in the RBTA. As the fish woke up and became active, the bubbles came off. Needless to say I need to get working on those baffles for my sump.

Anyone have a similar experience??

BTW, what moron (whom had just enjoyed your hospitality) caused you to waste your entire Labor Day morning taking your tank apart after he/she claimed that all your fish were dying due to "ick" and didn't even stick around to watch?

HMMM...this sounds vaguely familiary...like deja vu

Update

Update

So I lost all 5 of my female anthias. They died a few days apart each. The male is looking fine. All 4 yellow tangs appear to be doing great also. The contents of the tank are currently:

Fish:
4 yellow tangs
1 hippo tang
1 false perc
1 fire clown
1 Spotted Mandarin
1 saddle puffer

Corals:
Kenya trees
mushrooms (hairy, red, green, blue, etc)
brown polyps
brown zoos (came with the RBTA from Greg)
Several branching hammers (Frags available soon!)
purple gorg
Green trumpet
metallic brain

I also added my first clam a while back. Its a metallic blue Crocea I belive.

I also have a blue linkia star who came over from the old tank. and I think Stumpy, my serpent star is still around. You can guess why he is called Stumpy, hahaha. And of course I have zebra and blue leg hermits and many various snails running around.

Just got some new test kits in, so I can really see how things are doing.

I couldnt make the meeting this past weekend as I was out celebrating my 1st wedding anniversary! Hopefully I can make it next month. I'm looking for some LPS and acro frags.

i know this is old fizik but i just wanted to say thnx for the tank! and your tank is absolutly beutiful!! my girl just couldnt stop staring!! hahah It was great meeting you and hopefully u can come to my house sometime and check my tank out :)
