well my 210g has been set up for about 8 months. the only occupant is a dwarf lemon peel angel for about 6 months.

proposed stocking

Y/b regal angel (mandatory)
scribbled angel
false personifer angel
mag foxface
orange shoulder tang
purple tang (to aggressive for regal angel???)
lemon peel (already in tank but can be moved to another tank if needed)
flame angel
pr.maroon clowns
moorish idol (probably only dreaming here)
aussie harliquin tusk (but i want cleaner shrimp so???)

possible optional fish to replace orange shoulder tang
powder blue tang (conflicted on aggression level for regal angel)
convict tang (would the purple be to aggressive for the convict if convict was well established for several months before the purple was added).

thanks for input in advance

Both my concern and hesitancy in giving advice are the multiple Angels. I don't have any personal experience in keeping that many angels in a tank of your size so I was hoping someone would chime in that does have the expertise with angels. As far as the Tangs go I would go with either the Orange Shoulder or the Convict, but not both as they are too closely related to get along well, but either should be fine with the Purple. Perhaps I've just been lucky, but the Purples I have kept have all been relatively mild mannered. Not so with the Powder Blue, a beautiful fish but nasty! It sounds like you are aware of that so act accordingly. I do know two local fellow reefers who have kept Moorish Idols for over two years but they are a rare exception, I would not advise it.

never had any luck with powder blue tangs. look at him wrong and he would get ich. the only fish in my tank that always seem to have it.

I do agree with the Tangs. IMO, convicts are very docile and usually starve to death. I'm assuming the 210 is 6ft long. If so, I would not do 3 Acanthurus species. I would do on or the other along with the Purple and maybe to a Chevron. Also, you might have some issues those Angels. If you decide to do the those I would make sure the Regal is the first one in, letting him get establish and eating good. If you decide on the Regal Angel and the Convict Tang, them 2 would be the first fish in my tank if it was mines. Also be careful with the Tusk, they are known to start eating fish as they mature.

thank you for your input

the regal angel is mandatory...the whole reason for the tank. everything else is optional...yes the tank is 6ft(l) x 2ft(w) x 2.5ft(h). as for the Acanthus species...will defiantly only be one if any not 3...kinda bouncing around on which one i like better all have their pros and cons. not a cheveron tang fan at all. my stocking time line is 2 to 2 1/2 years from start to finish..but i have no issues taking longer iam in no hurry to fully stock tank just want to have the plans written in stone prior to acquiring the regal which will be the first(except for the lemon peel that can be moved to the 90 fowlr if needed
