210 gal reef

I am in the process of selecting the lighting for my new tank. It is 6' long X 29" high. The light strip I am looking at has 3 halides and 4 36" compact actinics. My options for the halides are 150w, 250w, or 400w each. People have told my to go with the 150w because certain corals can be sun burned from the 250 and up. My understanding is that between bulbs (150 V 150 V 150) V's indicating overlap in light there will be 300w of light. Any opinions?

I have a 220gal and I use a Current light fixture it has 3x250W Mh and 8x39W T5's plus 12 white LED's and 12 blue LED's. The colors of my corals just jump out at me I have lots of soft corals and none of them have been burned so far. I had soft corals under 400W MH in a 24" deep tank with no problems so I would go with the 250W since you can do more types of corals and clams if you want.
