210g fowlr.......what size pump and skimmer recommendations

and any recommendations on skimmers, that are not too expensive.

are you looking for an external or internal pump?
i believe the eheim can be both as long as you're not looking for a lot of flow through the sump.
and for the skimmer i'd go w/an asm. good bang for the buck.

Get an ASM^^like John said.

A G4 should do the job. Look for some in the Used/selling forums they go for hella cheap.

most silent is a Red Dragon but they are expensive...

skimmer... quiet again BK i have a deltec they are really nice ASM are good or even a H&S... i have a barr sk1220 i may be selling... you are welcome to stop by and take a look....

how will that barr sk1220 work with a 210g heavily stocked?

oh man.. that skimmer can go up to 300 gallons easy... i was using it on my tank... but its a becket not a needlewheel..

How much do you want to spend. I hear the Barr is the best beckett skimmer you can buy. If it were me I would go that route with a good pressure pump over a needle wheel. Just my preference.

im not sure, i guess I just need to compare prices and quality and try and determine how much I need to spend. i definatly dont want a skimmer that I feel is underpowered lfor my tank, like I feel my CCsuperskimmer is on my 90g (it was perfect on my 75g)

I just need to be backed into a corner, so I am forced to spend the money. I emailed gabriel and inquired how much he wants for the skimmer.
anyone know how much a good used skimmer usually goes for. as I believe gabriel bearly used that skimmer so it is on the newer side- if i could get something more used and cheaper, that would even be better.

arent becketts a lot louder than needle wheels though? i dont know why you'd want a silent return pump but then have a noisy skimmer.

you can get a ASM skimmer, let say G-4x rated for 450 gal tank only around $350 brand new.
