I have been working on a 215 in wall tank setup since December. I am finally getting close. Darn work and life keep getting in the way, but I am not complaining it is better than the alternative "“ especially in the Detroit area.
I did a dry fit on the plumbing today and want to get some feedback before I glue everything. I will get some shots of upstairs but first I need to get the basement setup. Lines from and to the display are continuous (no fittings or anything just straight into true 1" bulkheads) pieces of 1" spaflex aprox 15' in length. From the pump output to the display input is aprox 9' of head.
The sump is a used 90g in the basement. The glue on the counter to the stand is still drying. Once it is dry, I will bolt the stand to the wall and trim the spaflex to length.

What do I want help with?
- -suggestions... Am I doing something silly? No offense will be taken (unless flamed )
- -Thought and suggestions on baffles and how to terminate the overflow lines from the display tank.
A few notes:
- On the manifold:
o the open ¾" barb going to be hooked to a 5' piece of flexible hose, it can be put into the drain, back into the sump, or off
o it be held up by a bracket off the rear wall
o The far two left barbs feed the phosban reactors for phosban and carbon
o The middle barb will feed the lifeguard 25w skimmer that will be horz mounted on the rear wall above the manifold. The input on the skimmer is 25" tall the skimmer will be located right where the tape measure is "“ the skimmer is currently fed with a ¾" barb that has a 90. If needed I will move that to the manifold.
o The ¾ barb with the braded hose is for the skimmer, it is a lifereef vs-30
- On the sump:
o The bulkhead and valve above near the manifold were with the tank but are going to be use long term when I setup my daily 5g automatic water change.
- General
o I used a 2" true union ball valve with 2" to 1.5" reducers on the feed into the pump because the interior of a 1.5 is more like 1.25 and the inside of a 2" is 1.5". I did not want to create noise or restriction feeding the pump.
o To the right of the tank I am going to install a laundry tub and feed from my RO.
The only two items I am reusing from my current 72g bow front with 60g sump are the skimmer and UV light.
