well it's time for a new thread , i recently sold my 130" tank to jcmcown , so i could remodel my living room. the new tank is another glasscages tank i had built to my specs. it is 66" long 24" wide 31" tall with starphire glass. the tank is being built into a full wall entertainment system, with tons of staorage space, multiple levels and bookcases. to maximize space in my living room. the equipment on this system will be cut way down to cut back on energy consumption. lighting is two 400w ushio 20k, with lumenarc reflectors, also two 160w vho supplement. water movement is coming from 2 vortech mp40w's water return will be from a mag7. 75g sump which will house a msx 250a skimmer, and a deep sand bed. calcium and ph will be maintained by a pacific coast dual chamber calcium reactor. the tank will be a full reef again predominantly sps with lps blended throughout for movement, not sure on fish list right now. i will be using 90% of the rock from the old system so , it will have a $*!@load of rock for a completely diferent style of aquascaping than the last system. the old sump room in the garage will be removed with simply a brute can for water mixing for water changes, and a single peice of 1inch pvc with a ball valve and hose fitting for easy water removal . like i said i will be posting pics tonight or tomorrow of the build.

here are a few pics of the build that are off of my cell, i will try to post some good digital shots soon

Looking good, about time to change your signature. I have to get my canopy built where I can get my lighting going for my tank.

much better. i don't know about you but it does seem to run together. even with periods. its just they way our mind works. like have you ever seen the stuff where the lestters are out of order but you still read it right?

filtration will be fairly simple, a MSX250a skimmer, deep sand bed in the sump, with some cheato and calurpa , and as far as flow, 2 vortech mp40w's , and a mag 7 return pump will do more than enough

here are a few better pics of the build

well in a little under two weeks the tank is about cycled, so i guess in a day or two it will be time to add a couple small damsels and some inverts. i will post some tank pics in the next day or so

Can't wait for the pics, this ones looking good, but that's no shocker after the 11 footer.

Are you still keeping a tank at the shop?
