224g In Wall Finally Started March 08

Thanks Johnny,
The manufacturer has indicated that there is nothing they are willing to do, they say that they visually inspected it when it left their shop, and it was fine.
I'll keep that in my memory bank, they suggested that there is no problem having this in the glass, it is still 3/4" glass and it is a tiny chip.

Man that bites about the chip. Just keep the magnet cleaner parked on it for camouflage, or a nori clip. That way you may not obsess about it.

Can't wait to see it running!

Where did you get the disconnects for the ballasts in this photo:

Hilarious! That poor youngster, he's definitely not happy!

What is he about 8 months or so? I'm crackin up over here, the stuff we do to our kids for some photos!!!! I've done the same.

Hey man the build is looking great so far, keep up the good work.

Mikeeal, he's definitely not,
Your right he is 8 months today, the rest of them enjoyed the shot though, in fact for the rest of the weekend they wouldn't stay out of the tank.
Thanks for following along.

Ken

Well I got a lot done this weekend, all the plumbing is done. The Float Valves are in, and I have been water testing since yesterday, and good to say NO LEAKS yet.
I will be draining and filling slowly with RO water, which will give me some time to work on other things fishy.

There should be mounting brackets, or atleast mine had mounting brackets that came in the same box as the powerbar.

Ah Yes, Thanks Psyire, I was wondering what those are for.
Good to see you online today.
I'll try to post some pics of the plumbing later, I'm sure you are curious after that diagram I sent you.

Ken

Also looking for a way to get the rocks off the bottom of the tank. I am going with Black Starboard BB, and would like to have flow right under the rocks.
If anybody has any ideas please let me know.

Thanks

Here are the plumbing photo's, if anyone has any questions go ahead and chime in.

Overall
2-1.5" drains, 1 Durso and 1 lower drain. I got this idea from a friend, (thanks Psyire) it keeps the air and the noise down. I use the ball valve to reduce the flow from the lower drain so that the majority of the water ends up down the Durso so that I can control the height. Man is this system quiet.

This next shot shows how the Drain lines are running into the sump. You'll notice that each line has 2 ball valves, one for the flow into the sump and the other for flow into the floor drain pipe running along the bottom behind the sump.

This photo shows the two PS4's pushing water back up into the display. These have to be the quietest pumps I've heard. The ball valve's here are to either push water up from the sump, or to push water up from a Mag 18 in the freshly mixed saltwater reservoir for water changes. The idea is that as I fill up the display with fresh saltwater that is 1 degree colder than the tank water, the old tank water will fill the overflow and I will turn the drain valves to allow that water to go to the floor drain.

These are the drains from the tank and sump (if it overflows) into the floor drain pipe.

This is the fresh RO water and the Fresh saltwater reservoir, also with the safety of an overfill going into the Floor Drain Pipe.

And Lastly the Floor Drain pipe into the Floor Drain

If I get water on the floor, I'll be really scratching my head.

Awesome. That is a total fool proof system (knock on wood lol). that plumbing looks great, and I love the external overflow. If I ever get to customize my own tank, it WILL have an external CTC overflow.

Very nice.
