22K + build

Don't get too excited. It is going to take a while. The two lagoons are my first priority. A deal with my wife will also keep sharks out of the big pool for several years, though everything is being done to house sharks in the future

As for the salt, it is purchased by the palette. I have gone through 10 since my last order and now that it is on sale again, I just bought another.

She wanna use the pool for a few years before its filled with sharks?

That would be my guess.. Just tell her that its like swimming in the ocean!

IMO either make a swimming pool or a shark pool having one that needs to do both at different times does not sound like a good idea to me. Will there be chlorine used? Sun screen will be in the water and piping just so many things I can think of that in my mind would make that not a good idea. Epic build I will be following for sure. I hope this one follows threw. The last few large reef/marine pools/ponds only went so far then pulled the plug. I really liked the one with the view from inside the house and was a reef pond with a small beach, very cool but they had issues with it leaking and pulled the plug.

Actually most people are doing saltwater pools these days. No chlorine and the salt makes the water soft.

There is no intent to "swim with the sharks.". I'm actually concerned that all of the Atlantic ORVs will be completely restricted or listed as large costal by the time I'm ready. Btw, there is another in-house larger shark pool 15-20 minutes from me. I know of 3 within a 3 hour drive.

I just plumbed in 4 large 4" PVC pipes through the pool walls for flow and increased filtration when needed. The final, of three inspections passed today so we are now ready to pour. I'm hoping early next week weather permitting.

Also added drains in the concrete slab for the temperate lagoon area as well as sink area.

off subject but saltwater pools are chlorine pools in every sense through electrolysis the chlorine is produced from the salt (sodium chloride) there is a long equation showing how this works but essential the salt system you install on a saltwater pool creates liquid chlorine. sorry for the soap box I'm in the pool industry and that is a very misunderstood concept. also this is the most awesome build ever. I will now follow and live vicariously through you.

do you have any videos of any of these shark pools?? or does anyone... I keep looking on youtube and i keep getting james bond videos :/.... im really interested in seeing some huge pools

I think people were talking about looking into buying it like in the picture below, would definitely be a lot easier than opening the 50 gallon packages one at a time.
