hi all here is a few pics of my newest project - its suppose to be a reef crest theme in a nano size - i built the tank out of an old 29gal - and added some special touches.............

thanks everone - i really like it so far and the corals all polyped out in less then an hour after the move i still have the pendent (DIY 175MH and 64W PC) up a bit but will lower it a little each day till they get full strength
yea i think AG and oceanic and other standard tank manufacturers are years behind the hobby - one day extra shallow tanks may be the norm in the reef hobby - why try to push light down 18 - 24" and then stack mounds of rock to get corals up to the surface?????

Looks cool but why is there eggcrate over the seios? Be sure to have easy access to those pumps because they'll jam on you rather quickly.

i have the eggcrate there so i can through some filter floss or a bag of media on top of it should i want - i also thought about maybe covering it with screen to keep the crabs out???? it comes in and out easy though but i haven't had any trouble with the seios - i know some have said bad things about them but these four have been running steady without a single problem in a diferent tank for about 7 months with only an occasional cleaning - i did strip off that flow control slieve???
