My week old pico reef

Wouldn’t you know it have almost perfect water parameters and my local fish shop is out of stock on the common clowns. Say they will have them available in roughly 2 WEEKS…. Ugh. Got two hermits but still no swimming creature so still basically an empty tank. There’s one of the hermits doing his job

Was able to locate the cerith snails yesterday so now they are in the tank doing their job. They surely do not move very quickly..... must be why they are called snails.

I will say they are good at hiding..... went out to dinner, the lights were still on but starting the ramp down before I left for dinner. Came home and the lights were off, and the 2 clarkii's were no where to be found. Started looking at the top to see if I forgot to close it good, or somehow there was space to escape, and the floor...... got the flashlight and was looking on the counter the tank is on, and around the counter on the floor.... not there..... shined the flashlight in the tank and they swam out from behind one of the rocks and looked at me like they were saying, "umm... what do you want, we were sleeping, stupid"..... Was about to interagate the dog about what he did with them. :ROFLMAO:

They must sleep at night. They are out swimming around exploring

Yep, if you had an anemone, they would likely sleep in that for the night. My Clarkii only leaves the anemone to rearrange some rock, move a coral she doesn't like the location of or during feeding time.

After cleaning glass a bit. The two clowns went and hid behind a rock, was kinda expecting they would try to bite but not yet.

Just saw them attack a small bristleworm. As long as those do not cause the clowns any problems they can attack any of those gross things they find
