What pump would you reccomend for a 24 gallon nano? I am currently using the stock one that came with it and I don't think I have enough flow. Lots of "sand dust particles" floating on top of the water.
the pump is fine..if you go much bigger you end up out pumping the sump capacity. I have used a RIO600 and although ti worked well, it didn't fit quite as small and thus water top off was frequent. Don't rely on your pump to move water around in the tank, so much as moving the right amount of water through the sump.
I would add a Koralia Nano or like pump to the tank.
I do have karalia nano pump in it. I feel like the water isn't flowing fast enough and that is why the particles on top of the water never go into the overflow. But I have been known to be wrong.
Are you using the wedge output on your 24, or a hydorflo? I use a hydor flo and a K nano on 1 of my 24's, and then a hydor flo and 2 k nano's on my other 24 (heavily stocked). On my 29 I use a Vortech MP10. I tried a tunze 6025 (their smallest) but it isn't adjustable and is too much. LOVE the vortech, but expensive.
