24 hour transit time?

I just learned that my first shipment of "the package" is sitting in Minneapolis and will not arrive until tomorrow.

This will push the total transit time to almost 24 hours.

Should I be concerned? My impression from this board is that most shipments arrive the same day.

thanks

I called Northworst several times this morning trying to locate my first 1/2 of the package with no luck. My shipment was finally found a few hours ago....by Richard in Tampa!. Northworst returned it to TBS.

Thanks to Richard who called me and let me know the boxes had been returned, and new material would be shipped out on Friday. I haven't seen the product yet, but I've been very impressed with Richard's service.

Meanwhile, I think the dopes at the airline are still searching for the missing boxes.

Boy, airlines have been having a field year...

United leaves Manuela's rocks freezing out in Denver; Delta (I think it's Delta) gives Slatt's rocks (I think it's Slatts) a scenic transcontinental tour of the Pacific Northwest...

I'm really glad that I live where TPA is a direct flight with Southwest Airlines!

Yes, the shipments, in theory, behave like passengers' checked baggage. They get on the airplane, transfer someplace, and land at the destination--unless, of course, the baggage handlers decide that they don't like hefting big boxes.

Best of luck, Gumbyri! Keep us posted!

When I finally spoke to the airline, I was told cargo is the lowest priority (passengers = 1, luggage = 2 cargo = 3) and requires at least 2 hours between flights.

my shipment arrived at MSP only 1 hour and 45 mintues prior to the filght to ATW, so it never made it :sad1:

hopefully everything survived the return flight back to Tampa
