240/3 skimmer assembly

Roger,

I've just received my new 240/3 skimmer and have a couple of questions re the assembly.

There is a note attached to the skimmer body which reads:

" Important: Automatic Skimmers. Please cut the conveyor belt and take the pump off. Put the pump with the nozzle in the nozzle tube and than turn it in the suction hole".


I couldn't see any belt to cut....have I missed something ?.


Also, the photos in the Instruction book appear to show the end of the airline coming out of the silencer slotted into the pressure pipe. I notice that there is a hole in the pipe which appears to be there to accomodate the airline. Should I push the end of the airline into that hole ?.

Sorry if these are dumb questions but I hadn't seen the skimmer before today and have no experience with them.

Usually the pump is strapped down to the skimmer body with a nylon belt for safe transport. They might have changed this to fit the new cup in the box. If it isn't there no big deal.

The airline should have a nipple on the end which plugs into the hole in the pipe.
