240 gal lighting opinions

Here is what I came up with. The tank is 72x30x24 with a center brase. I may add 2 more t5 in the back. It will be gen 3 pro radion. The mH will be radium bulbs.

The t5 I'm not sure what will be the best combo to go with.

Is that a stock tank from a manufacturer or did you get it built? I like those dimensions.

I like this, However I hear a lot of people putting down the radions lately. The only thing I would say is more t5s

I would go 3-4 eBay black box leds plus 4 60" T5's myself.

Im one to put leds down. Thats why i have the mh and t5. If i dont like the radions i will still have enough light with the mh and t5. I will just have to add photoperiod to the mh and t5 if i dont like the radions

well what I ment by it is now to spend a ton of money on radions and get some cheaper Chinese LED boxes off ebay. People have lot better luck with them and they will work really well if you use 2x 400w MH and 4x 80w t5s

People just call them black boxes since they are all the same Chinese off brand leds. Ocean revive, evergro, reef breeders, etc. are all the same boxes with 3w bridgelux leds. A standard box is 55 leds and lights a 24"x24" area.

I have had these cheep ones before. Thanks for idea but I don't like them.
