240 Gallon Build

I am currently working on a 240 gallon build that is in the shape of an L. Here are some photos of the tank. It has pitting on the left and right ends from the previous owners allowing algea to grow on it. I am picking up boxes of 600, 800, 1000, 1500 and 4000 grit paper for my random orbital and refinishing the acrylic. I will post new photos of the tank once this is complete.

Tank Refinishing

Tank Refinishing

Well, the tank is finally refinished after hours of work! but I think it turned out quite nice. what do you guys think? I was able to get all of the pitting out of both ends of the tank which was a surprise to me. I used 600, 800, 1500, 4000, and a cutting disk to make it happen. enjoy the photos guys.

Yeah, it can be a pain. I noticed today after looking at it. I have horse shoe shaped swirls in parrots of the tank. I think if I use the 4000 grit and the cutting pad again I should be able to eliminate these. Next up is the dry fit plumbing . Once thats done I'm ordering marco rock to build a wall. The wall will be built in place in my dinning room so e won't have to move the tank far to get irty on the stand. Ilk post some more photos once the wall work begins.

Finished, this time for real

Well I was able to get the swirls out for the most part and the ones I couldn't are fine enough that you can't see them with water in the tank so Im happy. Here are the photos of the finished tank (this time I mean it) lol. Now for the rock wall.
