15 Gallon Fuge Build

Thinking. What about a 1” bulkhead and use Plumber’s Putty to make up the difference? Any thoughts?

Hit a snag. Went to Michael’s to get the acrylic paint. They had just one bottle of the color I wanted but that should be enough to get the job done. Got up to the checkout only to be told their system is down and can’t check people out. Their other store near me is down as well.
Check your local paint helps. (not the home improvement dept). Talk to the specialist there or try an after market auto parts place
Lots of acrylics for many uses. You probably already did but I am just saying. Hope this helps

Paint "shops" like Sherwin-Williams. A good place to look for is PPG paints.

I ordered a new 1" bulkhead that should arrive today. I'm going to give this ^ a shot.

Scratch that, just did some quick research and it is highly advised NOT to use plumber's putty. I'll try with Instant Ocean Hold Fast (putty) instead.

Schedule 80 fittings are interchangeable with 40 and the fitting you linked would only be 4mm sloppy in the hole you drilled so should work.. Another option is 1.25," uniseal which happens to use 51mm hole. It's not a bulkhead but I've never had one leak. A third option is put the bulkhead you have in the hole, fill the gap between the hole and threads with silicone and let it cure a couple days, then put the nut on and call it a day.

Do you mean the 1” schedule 80?

Holy crap, the price…really?

But, PA has it cheaper. Was hoping to get from Amazon prime for fast free shipping.

I ordered the schedule 80 last night from PA. Should have it Tuesday. Usually stuff shipped ground from them only takes a day or two to get to me.

Got the sch 80 bulkhead. Looks like it will work. Need a reducing adapter for my overflow to the sump. Hopefully HD has that on the shelf.
