i have 3 total. 1st on the main which is 1.5hp, 2nd 1/4hp for 2 QT's and 3rd 1/10hp for saltwater mix. my setup is in garage and it get 130F in summer quite often. mixing salt in 100+F water does not come out good.

I love the Genesis renew storm system. I have had it f9r 1.5 yrs now. Pricey but worth to me. Failsafe and very easy to use.
I have been testing RKE and Apex side by side for over a year as well and honestly they both have their own problems but if I was to pick one I would stick to Apex. Reasons. Better built better interface better quality better customer service etc.

instead of using pumps for ATO i went with very heavy duty solenoids both for my DT and QT. got them from Autotopoff.com.

Doesn't the renew storm system handle the ATO? Also you may want to turn the strainer on the 20g tank up a little. If you lose power a lot of water will dump into your 40g tank. Looking at the 40 I see it isn't full so it may not over flood the tank.
